Old village of fishermen, Jericoacoara in little by little for 20 years entices windsurfers of the whole planet thanks to exceptional statistics of wind, a paradisiac frame, a marvellous climat and waters with 26 Celsus degrees all year long... Slowly pushes some small pousada (houses guests' rooms) as well as some traditional trade.
It's only since 1998, date of arrival of water and electricity that tourism began developing in Jericoacoara. Today, with more modern
facilities (hotels, pousada, restaurants), the small village of
jericoacoara preserved all its authenticity and its bygone charm...
Just 3 streets of sand constitute the center of the village and building is restricted to 1 only floor. Located in the National Park of Jericoacoara this small village is a true small oasis in the middle of the desert. |
